Dr. Sharron L. Terrell joins Limestone University as Preceptor I in Economics teaching Introduction to Business, Principles of Macroeconomics and Microeconomics courses. Dr. Terrell holds a B.A. degree in economics and urban studies, Marygrove College; a M.A. degree and Ph.D. in Economics both earned at The University of Notre Dame; and, a Post-Doctorate in Business earned at the University of Florida. In addition to teaching, she has worked as an analyst and consultant to government and private entities. Prior to relocating to South Carolina, Dr. Terrell was a long time resident of Virginia where she was an ardent vegetable gardener and 17 year member of Lang Street Community Garden. Action and fantasy are her favorite movie genres; mystery her preferred literary genre; road and train trips are other leisure activities she enjoys.

Professional Accomplishments

Dr. Terrell has published abstracts in Washington Consortium of Business Schools Faculty Research Forum (National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable) proceedings, and monographs in the 2008 Monograph Series of the National Association of African American Studies and The Senate Communicator (Howard University). She was selected participant in workshops and training provided by The Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession (CSWEP), The American Economic Association Committee on Economic Education and the University of Memphis FDIB-Globalization Seminars as well as participated in many workshops and seminars UDC organized. She supported professional activities through memberships in and service to the Eastern Economic Association, Southern Economic Association and American Economic Association and memberships in the American Accounting Association and American Finance Association.
