Conditional acceptance may be given to qualified students who meet the requirements of full or provisional acceptance but did not major in business. Students who did not major in business are required to take the following undergraduate course to fully prepare them for the academic rigor of Limestone’s online MBA program:
BA 500 - Foundations in Business
The purpose of this course is to give non-business majors or those not comfortable in specific business topics a basic understanding of business to ensure success in an MBA program. Depending on each student’s prior academic background, a different number of foundational modules may be required. Grading is on a satisfactory/unsatisfactory basis. Credit awarded for this course will not count toward graduation requirements for the MBA program. Once the required modules are completed, the student may begin the MBA program.
Students that are conditionally accepted into the program will be informed of the conditions to be met for full admission status and the deadlines for meeting each condition. Once a candidate has completed the required courses, then he/she will automatically be moved to full or provisional status.
Financial aid may be available for these undergraduate courses. A member of our Financial Aid office will be glad to assist with any questions – (864) 488-8800
Students may also test out of the required pre-requisite courses by successfully completing either a CLEP or DANTES examination. For additional information please contact our Testing Center at (864) 488-8376.
