Limestone University Covid Policy

2023 – 2024 Academic Year

According to the CDC, Covid is no longer considered a pandemic; therefore, Limestone University will treat Covid like any other infectious disease, such as the flu.

Limestone University will not conduct contact tracing and does not require isolation after exposure. Administrators will continue to monitor the CDC and SCDHEC regulations for updated information.

Student Policy:

If a student tests positive for Covid, the Health Center needs medical documentation. Resident students are encouraged to go home to isolate, if possible. If the student cannot go home, they must isolate in their room for five (5) full days. They may return to class on the sixth (6th) day if fever free for 24 hours with no medication. Retesting is not required; however, students are expected to wear a mask for an additional five (5) days.

The Health Center will notify the Provost’s Office who will inform the student’s instructors of their absence. The student is responsible for all work missed and should contact their professors, as well.

We encourage all students to call Health Center at 864-488-4003 with questions.

Employee Policy:

The employee can return to work on the sixth (6th) day if free of fever for 24 hours with no medication. Retesting is not required; however, employees are expected to wear a mask for an additional five (5) days.
