Limestone BSW Candidates To Present Research At State Conference
Four Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) candidates from Limestone College will present original work at the National Association of Social Workers-South Carolina State Conference in June.
BSW candidates Latarisha Singleton and Lydia Laney will present “Housing Instability and Youth: Pregnancy, Homelessness, and Crime.” The presentation will include qualitative as well as quantitative research to analyze the issues surrounding housing instability as it pertains to youth. The information will be presented in the form of surveys and graphs of statistical data. It will also present preventative actions and local resources.
Candidates Jaquisha Eaves and Shaunda Jones will present “Homeless Veterans.” The presentation will discuss the matter of homeless veterans as well as the challenges they face during integration back into society.
All four students will be presenting posters at the symposium.
Limestone College’s online BSW program is one of the few virtual social work programs in South Carolina. The online program was ranked in the Top 20 Online BSW programs for 2019 by thebestschools.org. Plans are being finalized for Limestone to add an online Master of Social Work program that is expected to begin soon.
