Community Music School To Host Spring Recital

The Community Music School at Limestone College will host its Spring Recital on Tuesday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in the Carroll Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Piano students of instructor Pam Turnage will be performing at the recital, along with guest performer Grace Wylie, who is a Community Music School alum and current Limestone College student.

In addition to piano, the Community Music School currently offers private lessons in clarinet with Dr. Chip Hill, drumming with Mark Burrell and Tim Blackwell, trumpet with David Hodges, and voice with Dr. Gena Poovey. Lessons for other wind instruments can also be arranged, if requested. Turnage serves as the Director of Limestone’s CMS program.

“We are committed to cultivating and promoting music appreciation in our community. Our mission is to enrich the lives of individuals by offering quality music instruction to people of all ages,” said Dr. Poovey, the Chairperson of the Limestone Department of Music.
