Day Campus Classes Cancelled Friday, Sept. 14, and Monday, Sept. 17 -- Campus Not Being Evacuated

Due to the potential impact of Hurricane Florence, Limestone College's Day Campus in Gaffney is cancelling all classes on Friday, September 14, and on Monday, September 17.

While heavy rains are not expected on Friday, the cancellation of classes on Friday provides students an extra day to travel home if they wish to do so. However, the Limestone College campus is not being evacuated and students will be permitted to stay on campus. Limestone will have essential personnel on duty and food service will continue for students.

Limestone College asks that students who are leaving campus to return home to please inform their Resident Assistant and/or Resident Director prior to leaving. Students from the coastal area are encouraged to stay on campus and not attempt to return home due to the mandatory evacuation of those areas.

On Friday, Limestone College offices will be open and non-essential staff members are asked to use their judgement as to whether or not it is safe to travel to and from campus on that day. Essential staff members will be on duty. On Monday, Limestone College offices will be closed for all staff members, except for essential personnel who will be on duty.

Essential personnel are encouraged to consult with their supervisors regarding their responsibilities and hours.

Student-athletes are encouraged to contact their coaches in regard to games and practices.

Additional information may be posted on Limestone College's website and social media pages, as well as provided through campus email.

Thank you and please be safe.
