Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies
Many new professional opportunities require college preparation of a broad and extensive scope. A chance to design an academic program appropriate to a student’s special career or professional goal is provided in the Liberal Studies program. In this Bachelor of Science degree, students learn from various courses of technical study including mathematics, biological and physical sciences, and social sciences. The program generally is interdisciplinary, with courses offered through various departments or divisions of the College. Available for students who desire or require more flexibility than is available in other major programs, this program may be particularly helpful for the student who is preparing for professional or specialized graduate school.
Degree Requirements
Must take a minimum of 18 semester hours in the 200 level or above courses with 15 hours in the Professional Studies or Natural Science Division, and 30 semester hours in the 300 level or above courses, involving at least 2 different academic divisions. This major requires 6 hours of Writing Intensive Courses.

Our business programs are offered in a variety of locations, each built for different students. Our traditional day students attend class on our main campus in Gaffney, South Carolina— a beautiful town with rich historic buildings and hundreds of campus involvement opportunities. More than half of day students live on campus and participate in athletics, fine arts, community service and other leadership associations.
Our online programs are accessible across the country – so even if you’re in Charlotte, North Carolina, you can still work towards your Limestone degree. Students also have the option to take a combination of classes at any of these campuses and online.
Financial Aid, Scholarships & Grants
Limestone works to make education affordable, putting together a financial aid package with need and merit-based financial aid options for every one of their admitted students. 95 percent of Limestone College students receive some type of financial assistance. Academic, athletic and arts scholarships, activity and need-based grants are all available for day students.
