This program is designed for Criminal Justice students who have an interest in law school or a law-related career.  Courses will introduce students to a variety of practice areas while honing the same skills and knowledge as the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice but with an emphasis on the discipline and practice of developing and adjudicating law. Through additional courses in business, management, political science, and law, this concentration will provide a sound foundation for further legal education and subsequent careers.  It will help students to develop the important analytical skills and personal values necessary for a law-related career.

  3. Elementary Statistics Course to fulfill Competency and General Education requirements as well as major degree requirements (3 hours)
  4. United States History II Course to fulfill Competency and General Education requirements as well as major degree requirements (3 hours)
  5. The required Criminal Justice Major Core Courses* as noted below (34 hours)
  6. Additional upper-level (300 or 400 level) Criminal Justice Courses (15 hours)
  7. Additional elective courses in Business Administration, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work (9 hours)
  8. Applied Constitutional Law Course (3 hours)
  9. American National Government Course (3 credit hours; will fulfill the requirement for additional elective courses noted below)
  10. Additional Legal Courses choosing from LG315, LG316, LG317, LG340, or LG490 (9
    credit hours)
  11. Additional Criminal Justice or General Education Electives as needed (15 hours)
