Limestone’s Kip Altman Accepts New Position With Evening Program

Charles “Kip” Altman recently accepted a new position as Limestone College’s Director of the Evening Program.

Altman is not new to the Limestone family, however. For the past year, he has worked as the Site Coordinator at the College’s Greenville location.

“Kip came highly recommended and will help lead our evening program in meeting our goals,” said Chris Phenicie, the College’s Vice President for Enrollment Services. “He is well-respected by his peers and our conversations have led me to believe he has a solid understanding in how to lead this team.”

Altman earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Francis Marion University. He then earned a master’s degree in Education from Furman University. For 16 years, he worked in the Greenville County public school system and taught middle and high school History. He served as an educational consultant across the country for 11 years.

“Throughout my career, I had always heard about Limestone,” Altman noted. “I have a background in History and was intrigued by the historical aspects of Limestone. The value of a liberal arts education cannot be expressed enough and Limestone understands that. I have been honored to work for the College for the past year, and I am extremely excited about this new role and the opportunity to help grow its Evening Program.”

In addition to its Day Campus and Online Program, Limestone offers evening classes for working adults at sites in Aiken, Charleston, Columbia, Florence, Gaffney, and Greenville.

Limestone is a four-year, liberal arts institution in Gaffney that was established in 1845. The College offers bachelor of arts, bachelor of fine arts, bachelor of science, bachelor of social work, associate of arts, associate of science, and master of business administration degrees through traditional and non-traditional educational opportunities.
