Legal Issues in Technology

Explores the intersection between computer technology and the laws related to intellectual property (i.e., copyright, patent, trademark, and trade secret laws). Considers privacy and other First Amendment concerns raised by the use of computer technology. Considers the sale of software and the current state of the law as it relates to software licensing and the application of the Uniform Commercial Code. (Same as LG 317) Credit, 3 hours.
