Spring Choral Concert Perfect Opportunity for New Tradition

Choral Concert 2013 webThis Sunday, April 14, the Limestone College and Community Chorus will present its spring concert. And according to conductor Dr. Gena Poovey, this year's concert is "the perfect opportunity for you and your family to start a new tradition."

Scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in Fullerton Auditorium, the program is entitled Baroque to Beatles and is free and open to the public.

An exhibit of works by Limestone College student and Zimbabwe native Caleb Makaza is on display through April 26 at the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum Event Hall at 301 College Drive in Gaffney.

Anna Grace Bradford of Spartanburg, Ashley McHam of Gaffney, and Matt Smith of Myrtle Beach perform in Avenue Q.

Avenue Q, the Triple Crown Tony Award-winning musical, will be presented for the first time in Upstate South Carolina on the Limestone Center Theatre stage April 18-20 and 25-27.

Curtain times each evening at 8:00 p.m. This hilarious comedy is intended for mature audiences only.

Award-Winning Southern Historian to Speak About Capitalist Agriculture

Dr. Melissa Walker

Dr. Melissa Walker, an award-winning scholar and instructor of history, will speak at Limestone College on Monday, April 15, at 7:00 p.m. in Fullerton Auditorium.

Her presentation, which is free and open to the public, is entitled "Rural Southern Women, The Family Economy, and Economic Change."
