Jenzabar Foundation Provides Technology Funding for Limestone’s Winnie Davis Hall of History
Winnie_Davis_TechonolgyThe Jenzabar Foundation of Boston, Mass. has awarded a $20,000 grant to Limestone College for the installation of interactive technology in its Winnie Davis Hall of History.

With the grant, Limestone was able to complete the comprehensive renovation of Winnie Davis Hall of History by equipping its six classrooms with custom-built multi-media computer systems that allows professors and students to-among other tasks-access the Internet, watch video presentations and participate in multi-party conferencing.

Limestone Alumna Named “Teacher of the Year” for Charter School

Limestone College alumna Tomikia Whitmire has been named Teacher of the Year for Spartanburg Charter School.

A mathematics instructor for fourth and fifth graders, she is the first person to be selected for the recognition at the school, which opened its doors in 2009.

Is there truth to the bond between twins?

Researchers seeking the answer to that question would do well to visit Limestone College as no less than seven sets of twins were enrolled during the 2009-2010 academic year.

Unlike single-born children, most twins seem to share a unique connection that is deep and self-sustaining. "The twin bond is important since it's a relationship that really started in utero," says Eileen Pearlman, a licensed marriage, family, and child therapist who lectures on multiple birth issues and is the author of Raising Twins: What Parents Want to Know (And What Twins Want to Tell Them). "Even in the womb, there was a lot of working together sharing a very small space."

Limestone Senior Sinks Shot for $10,000

Limestone College senior Cruz Thomas won $10,000 on the Pick a Shot promotion during halftime of the Saints basketball game on Monday night, January 25th.

Thomas, a criminal justice major from Camden, S.C., made three-quarter court shot to win the prize.
