A host of activities is planned for Limestone College's 2010 Alumni Weekend scheduled for April 16-17, and people in Cherokee County are invited to take part.

A host of activities are planned throughout the weekend. Friday, April 16
6:30 p.m.; Shindig at the Cabin (On North Limestone Street between City Hall and First Baptist Church)
In conjunction with the City of Gaffney's "Shindig at the Cabin," Limestone kicks off its 2010 Alumni Weekend and the entire Cherokee community is invited to take part in the block-party style celebration which is an inviting venue for people to visit friends and classmates. Limestone will provide food from Daddy Joe's BBQ for college alumni and faculty/staff attending the event. Catering for the general public will be provided at a separate location.

Saturday, April 17
12 p.m.; Presentation of 2010 Alumni Awards; Stephenson Dining Hall; Cost is $10 per person
The Limestone Alumni Association will present its 2010 Alumni Awards. The honorees are as follows:
Alumna of the Year, Josephine Eden Massey '49 (Atlanta, GA)
Service to College, Virginia Bruorton Skinner '50 (Georgetown, SC)
Service to Education, Diane Bradley Wyatt '92 (Royal Palm Beach, FL)
Service to Church, Kim Jones Bagwell '82 (Gaffney, SC)
Service to Community, Judith Sanders Nix '65 (Gaffney, SC)
Young Alumna of the Year, Harmony Faith Noda '02 (Columbia, SC).

2:30 p.m.; Alumni Band and Chorus Concert; Fullerton Auditorium; Free and Open to the Public
The Limestone College Music Department and Office of Alumni Programs invite the community to attend the Alumni Band and Chorus Concert, an even that is open and free to the public.
