| Margaret Littlejohn '50 Named Philanthropist of the Year |
|
One of Limestone's earliest endowed scholarships was established in her honor in 1983 by her husband, Mr. Broadus Littlejohn, Jr. The College awarded her an honorary doctorate of public service in 1995. Littlejohn's generosity has provided leadership gifts to renovate and maintain five of the historic buildings on campus and to assist with the construction of the new Physical Education Building and the renovation of Winnie Davis. In addition to her support of capital projects, Littlejohn supports the Limestone Fund, the College's fund for undesignated gifts, and scholarships. She is a member of the Limestone Curtis Society, a society to recognize and honor individuals who provide for the future of Limestone through estate plans. |

Limestone College honored alumna and trustee Margaret Littlejohn, of Spartanburg, as its 2008-09 Philanthropist of the Year at the Piedmont Club in Spartanburg.
