Assistant Cheerleading Coach/Dance Team Coordinator (#572)

Limestone College invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Assistant Cheerleading Coach/Dance Team Coordinator.

Job Overview: The successful candidate will assist the head cheerleading coach with all aspects of the Spirit Program including serving as the assistant cheerleading coach as well as being in charge of the dance team within the Spirit Program. The duties include but are not limited to: organizing and leading team practices, instruction of cheer and proper stunting technique, choreography of competition routines and game day material, recruiting student-athletes for both the cheerleading and dance teams, facilitating team member development, overseeing academic progress and enhancement of student-athletes, and other duties needed to continue the success of the program. Under supervision of the head coach, the assistant will serve as the Dance Team Coordinator which is one of the primary duties and responsibilities of the position. The dance team is a collegiate style pom squad. The candidate will be responsible for the continued development of the dance program at Limestone which will perform at all home men’s and women’s basketball games, football games, exhibitions, local performances and may attend competitions. The duties will include organizing and leading practices and workouts for the dance team, choreographing and teaching routines to dance team members, working with head coach to maintain budget and recruiting team members for the dance program. Travel is required. Requirements- A Bachelor’s degree is required along with a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Limestone College. Compliance Coordinator (#569)

Limestone College, a Division II member of Conference Carolinas, invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Compliance Coordinator. 

Job Overview- The successful candidate will implement and monitor the activities of the Athletics Department staff to ensure compliance with NCAA, Conference Carolinas and Limestone College. Responsibilities may include but not be limited to: Coordinate, develop, and prepare materials for compliance meetings and educational efforts for our staff. Assist in maintaining up to date records within ACS and the compliance website. Assist with preseason, in-season, and post season paperwork. Disseminating athletic compliance forms and ensuring all are completed correctly. Assist with updating team rosters, monitoring seasons of competition, CARA logs, phone records, contact/evaluation logs, and auditing all other athletic related documents. Provide athletic staff, coaches, and student-athletes with information related to initial eligibility, continuing eligibility and transfer eligibility. Assist in researching NCAA bylaws and interpretations, provide guidance to non-interpretive questions (institutional and compliance office policies) and provide support to all investigative efforts. Serve as liaison with various campus offices and attend approved meetings, conference, and appropriate seminars to maintain knowledge on new and changing NCAA bylaws and regulations.

Requirements- Bachelor’s degree is required along with a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Limestone College, Conference Carolinas and the NCAA.  Candidates must have computer skills and a working knowledge of NCAA Compliance Assistant software, LSDBI and ACS. Compliance experience at the NCAA Division II level is desirable. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. Management, organizational skills and attention to detail are important to the position. This position reports to the Associate A.D. for Compliance and will work closely with the Director of Athletics, Financial Aid, Student Housing, Registrar and Admission Offices. The selected candidate must be willing to consent to, and pass, with satisfactory results, an investigative consumer report.
