In conjunction with Upstate Forever, on Monday, April 14, Limestone Biology Laboratory Coordinator Lauren Barker and some of her students conducted a tree-measuring and tagging event on the front campus. Upstate Forever works to promote sensible growth and to protect special places through education and conservancy efforts, protecting over 16,000 acres of land and water in the Upstate.  Limestone College is the organization’s first site in Cherokee county to tag trees as part of its program to recognize economic value of trees to the community. The group will be back out tagging more trees next week. To see more photos, please visit www.Facebook.com/LimestoneCollege .
