New Campaign Designed To Honor Longtime Coach

Jimmy Martin PhotoFor the last 23 years, the name Jimmy Martin has been synonymous with Limestone College softball.
Now, a fundraising campaign hopes to keep his name there a lot longer.
The “Fight Like Jimmy” campaign has been organized by former Limestone player Niki Midgett with the goal of raising enough money to name the new college softball field after the winningest coach in Limestone history.
Martin, who retired last month as head coach of the Saints, suffered a stroke while on vacation in Myrtle Beach in July of 2012.
