Below are descriptions of the 4 committees that you can serve on as an SALC member! Any interested SALC member can attend committee meetings!  Committees will meet on an "as needed" basis to cover the duties for which they are responsible. Meetings will be called by the director of each committee. You will be contacted via email, and information can also be found on the web site.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for identifying funding opportunities (i.e. corporate sponsors), developing materials that effectively express SALC's needs and the needs of Limestone College students and SALC members. This committee also organizes the solicitation of corporate sponsors for the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, which takes place during the Spring semester. Members with fund-raising skills are encouraged to participate.

Logistics Committee

The Logistics Committee will be responsible for implementing the locations for entertainment, decorations, and water stations along the Run/Walk route, as well as the organization of the parking on the day of the Run/Walk. Serving on the committee allows members the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills while reaching out to their local community as a representative for Limestone College. This committee will meet one day each month prior to the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk in order to implement ideas and finalize details. In addition, the team will utilize the time to promote the Run/Walk and garner volunteers who are interested in assisting the day of the event.

Program Committee

The Program Committee schedules performing acts for the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk, as well as plans events such as Homecoming, Christmas on Campus, Parents Weekend, and Alumni Weekend. Committee members will also help plan the opening and closing ceremonies for the Run/Walk.

Promotions Committee

The Promotions Committee is responsible for creating the brand image for the Annual 5K and 1 Mile Run/Walk. The committee will work on developing marketing strategies for SALC and is responsible for advertising the Run/Walk, from flyers to t-shirt designs. This committee is to help support the rest of the organization in all its efforts.
