Ellen Moore is a native of Gaffney, SC, and a graduate of Limestone College. She excitedly returned to her alumni institution to teach English courses in the fall semester of 2014. She completed her M.A. in English, Composition and Rhetoric, at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her main research interests include the use of digital technologies to communicate and presentations of identity in the blogosphere. Ellen plans to pursue her Ph.D. in Rhetoric.
Ellen considers spending 12 years in dance lessons, six of which were competitive, a main influence on her love of music. Her enthusiasm for live music has taken her on a few adventures including a last minute 500-mile flight and short train ride for one show, walking through knee-deep snow to ensure she made the first song, and driving across the state and back between class on Friday and work on Saturday. Her most frequented shows include Relient K and Phish, though the highlight of her concert-going career (so far) was a recent Paul Simon and Sting show. Her music bucket list is extensive, but she hopes to see Fleetwood Mac once before they retire.
