Limestone's Charleston Site Grand Reopening Thursday, March 23

Limestone College is inviting students, alumni, and community members to a grand reopening celebration of its Charleston site on Thursday, March 23.

The celebration will showcase improvements to Limestone’s existing site in Charleston. The renovations, however, did not disrupt the site’s services to Limestone’s students in that area

The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at 4500 Leeds Avenue, Suite 208. The campus site is located in the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce building. Guests will have an opportunity to meet Limestone President Dr. Walt Griffin and other members of the College’s administrative staff. As they view the facility’s recent renovations, visitors can also enjoy refreshments, win door prizes, speak to advisors and professors, learn about degree programs offered, enroll for upcoming classes, and more.

The Charleston site is one of eight Online & Evening locations for Limestone College throughout South Carolina. Other sites include Aiken, Columbia, Florence, Gaffney, Greenville, Kingstree, and Lowcountry (Yemassee). Limestone has had a classroom presence in Charleston since 1976.

“Many working adults have a goal to complete a college education, but juggling work and family can be a challenge,” Dr. Griffin said. “Limestone’s Online & Evening classroom sites provide the opportunity for working adults to further their education, work full-time, and be there for their families. We are so pleased to offer our wonderful students in the Charleston area a newly renovated classroom facility.”

Courses are offered in eight-week terms with six terms per year. Students can take two courses each Term, thus earning 36 semester hours in a year. Limestone also offers an Online & Evening online program.

Limestone’s traditional day program is located on its main campus in Gaffney. Founded in 1845, Limestone is an accredited, independent, coeducational four-year liberal arts institution chartered by the State of South Carolina. Limestone is a Christian non-denominational institution. Its programs lead to the Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Social Work, Associate of Arts, Associate of Science and Master of Business Administration degree.

The mission of Limestone College is to educate students from diverse backgrounds in the liberal arts and selected professional disciplines. By providing degree programs throughout South Carolina and online, Limestone offers opportunities for personal and professional growth to individuals who may find access to higher education difficult.
