City Of Gaffney Declares July 1 As "Limestone University Day"

Mayor Henry L. Jolly (center) presents a City of Gaffney Resolution to Limestone College President Dr. Darrell Parker (left) and Limestone Board of Trustees Vice-Chairman David Riggins on Thursday, June 25. The Resolution declares Wednesday, July 1, as "Limestone University Day" in the City of Gaffney in honor of the institution officially changing its name on that date.

The Resolution also recognizes that Limestone is celebrating its 175 anniversary this year.

In addition to Mayor Jolly, the Resolution was signed by all of the City of Gaffney Council members, including Harold D. Littlejohn, Sr. (District 1), Stephanie Smith (District 2), Monita Dawkins (District 3), Glenn Fuller (District 4), Kim Phillips (District 5),and Billy Love (District 6).
