A recent $100,000 gift from Limestone University alum Richard Kepple “Kep” Disney Jr. has established the Saints First Scholarship, an endowed scholarship for first-generation students that is intended to open doors to advancement beyond the boundaries set by their socioeconomic backgrounds.

Jimmy Martin Field Rendering 2022
During a softball alumni event on Sunday, June 26, an architectural rendering of the new Limestone University softball complex was publicly revealed for the first time. As part of the alumni event on Sunday at Fleur Field in Greenville, it was announced that the new home of Limestone softball will be named Jimmy Martin Field in honor of the legendary Saints coach. Martin, who helped take Limestone softball to unprecedented heights as part of a 23-year head coaching career that made him the program's all-time winningest coach, retired from the diamond in 2013.

The Limestone University community was saddened to recently learn of the death of former President Dr. Jack J. Early, who passed away on January 22 at the age of 96.

As a true groundbreaker in the area of racial equality, M.L. Annette Reynolds from the Class of 1970 has the distinction of being the first African-American student and graduate of Limestone. She went on to earn her Maser of Education degree from South Carolina State University.
