Limestone Professor Selected As Reviewer For 2018 National Conference

Limestone College Professor of English Erin Pushman was recently invited to be a reviewer for the 2018 Conference of College Composition and Communication (CCCC) to be held in Kansas City, Missouri, in March of next year.

The CCCC is a national organization for composition and communication professors. As a Stage 1 reviewer, Pushman is reviewing conference session and paper proposals that have been submitted from across the United States. 

“I am very interested in professional stewardship and was pleased to be invited to review proposals submitted from colleagues around the country,” Pushman said. “I have been presenting at this conference since the beginning of my career as a writing professor, and I'm happy to contribute to this national conference as a reviewer as well as a presenter.

Pushman is also the Director of the Writing Center at Limestone. She is a member of the standing committee for the CCCC Creative Nonfiction Special Interest Group. Pushman has had two articles published in Breastfeeding Today, the official magazine of La Leche League International.

Her nonfiction writing has also appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Confrontation, Segue, Toasted Cheese, and The Asheville Citizen-Times among other publications. She has published dramatic writing in More New Monologues for Women by Women (Heinemann) and Boomtown: Explosive Writing from Ten Years of Queens MFA Program, and her plays have been produced on stages across the Carolinas. She is the recipient of a 2017 North Carolina Regional Artist Project Grant.
