Military Friendly 24-25 Gold

For the third consecutive year, Limestone University has been designated as a “Military Friendly® School” by Viqtory Media, earning Gold-Level status for 2024-2025.

Only 13 percent of participating institutions earned the prestigious Gold-Level recognition.

The Military Friendly® listing showcases the top colleges, universities, and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success. Viqtory Media is considered a leader in successfully connecting the military and civilian worlds. The Military Friendly® Schools survey is the longest-running and most comprehensive review of college and university investments in serving military and veteran students.

The 2024-2025 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in “G.I. Jobs” magazine's May issue and found at www.militaryfriendly.com.

The designation provides service members and their families with transparent, data-driven ratings about post-military education and career opportunities. Earning Silver Level recognition the previous two years, Limestone has also earned Military Friendly status several times in the past.

“While we are always proud to be named Military Friendly, this year’s Gold-Level recognition is really special because Limestone has truly made serving our military and veteran students a priority,” said the University’s Director of Military Services Christina Lievsay. “We are extremely proud to be recognized once again as a Military Friendly School. We value our military veteran students, we appreciate their service, and we are here to assist them in any way possible.”

Limestone’s Military Service Center is staffed by prior service members who understand the unique challenges of military and veteran students, Lievsay added.

It was recently announced that military spouses can now enjoy the same discounted online tuition rate that Limestone provides to military members. That reduces current spousal tuition from $479 to $248 per credit hour, which cuts the cost of their education by nearly half. Spouses will also receive the $100 per credit hour military discount for Limestone’s accredited graduate program.

Limestone’s military discounts are now available to Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard service members and their spouses.

In addition to military tuition discounts, Limestone also looks to maximize military education benefits, including the GI Bill®, Military Tuition Assistance, and financial aid.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly® Schools Awards designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. Over 1,800 schools participated in the 2024-2025 survey, 537 schools earned awards level designations in Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Of those, 243 were selected for “Gold” award status for their leading practices, outcomes, and effective programs.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in higher education. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution's survey responses and government/agency public data sources within a logic-based assessment. Viqtory measures ability to meet thresholds for retention, graduation, job placement, repayment, persistence, and loan default rates for all students and specifically for student veterans.
