Limestone Theatre's "The World Goes 'Round" Runs April 11-14

Limestone College’s Department of Theatre will present “The World Goes ’Round” during a four-show run April 11-14.

Show time each evening is at 7:30 on April 11-13, and there will be a 3 p.m. performance on April 14. Limestone Theatre is located at 130 Leadmine Street in Gaffney.

“The World Goes ’Round” is a musical revue written by Kander and Ebb, known for such hits as “Cabaret,” “Chicago,” and “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” It features Kander and Ebb's greatest hits such “Maybe This Time” (from “Cabaret”), “All That Jazz” (from “Chicago”), and “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” The revue takes its title from a tune the songwriting team wrote for Liza Minnelli to sing in the film “New York, New York.”

Filled with humor, romance, drama, and nonstop melody, the production is a celebration of life and the fighting spirit as five individuals find themselves careening through the world of love, babies, and coffee. The hit parade features many unforgettable songs, all seamlessly interwoven into a passionate, harmonious, up-tempo evening of musical theatre.

Advance tickets are available through www.ticketleap.com. Adult tickets are $12 each, while student and senior citizen tickets are $10 each. Limestone faculty, staff, and students will be admitted for free. Tickets will also be available at the box office 30 minutes prior to each performance.
