Limestone Esports Program Continues 2022 Fall Schedules

Limestone University’s esports program got its Fall 2022 schedules underway last month and will continue to compete through the end of November.

The Saints, who are members of the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), are competing in League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Valorant.

Limestone is competing in League of Legends against, in order, St. Clair College, Southern New Hampshire University, University of Mount Union, Clark University, Alvernia University, Queens University of Orlando, Cleveland State University, and York College of Pennsylvania.

In Rocket League, the Saints are matching up respectively against the University of Arkansas, Bradley University, Lees-McRae College, Hocking College, East Carolina University, Midway University, Florida Institute of Technology, Brescia University, West Virginia University, Bethel University of Tennessee, University of Alabama, Defiance College, King University, University of Louisville, University of Alabama Huntsville, and Catawba College.

The Valorant schedule includes in order matchups against Florida International University, Newberry College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Alabama Huntsville, Murray State University, and Tennessee Technological University.

The Overwatch schedule is still being finalized.

Along with competitive varsity and junior varsity squads, Limestone offers a recreational Gaming Club that has access to the University’s state-of-the-art gaming lab and lounge.

The Saints program is head by head coach Zach Lewis, a former esports player and coach at the Oklahoma State University who was hired in 2020 to develop and coach Limestone’s new program.
