"Character Witness" On Display At Limestone Gallery October 19-November 30

Charles Wyatt
Ashley Holt Poster

Please join the Limestone University Art Department and Gallery in celebrating the art of Ashley Holt in an exhibition displayed from October 19 through November 30.

The Gallery is located inside the Hines & Riggins Center at Limestone University.

Holt has worked as a commercial illustrator since 1989, producing artwork for books, periodicals, television, theater productions, apparel, and even skateboards.

Though he has tackled a wide variety of editorial subjects, Holt is best known for his work in caricature portraits, having drawn everyone from Knievel to Khrushchev for clients such as Businessweek, The Boston Globe, No Depression, The Progressive, Inside Entertainment, Texaco, and many others.

His stylized, keenly-designed portraits are created using a unique combination of traditional and digital techniques.

This exhibition features Holt’s completed works in a studio-like format to encourage visitors to engage with Holt’s and their own artistic process.

The virtual artist talk will take place on October 26 at 12:45 p.m. (link below) and a reception in the Limestone Gallery will take place on October 27 at 2 p.m.
