Limestone University just unveiled its 2024 football schedule that includes four home contests at Saints Field and seven matchups on the road.

Former National Football League wide receiver and Carolina Panthers assistant wide receivers coach Jerricho Cotchery has been named as the new head of Limestone University’s football team.

Join us as both the Men's and Women's Basketball teams take on Catawba College in what is sure to be exciting match-ups. The Play4Kay basketball games will be held on Wednesday, January 31, hosted by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

The first 30 Limestone University students through the doors at the Timken Center on Wednesday, Jan. 24, to support Saints basketball against Coker will receive a limited edition "Protect The Rock" t-shirt! Doors open at 4:30 p.m. The women's game tips-off at 5:30 p.m. and the men get underway at 7:30 p.m. #ProtectTheRock

Remembering Bob Prevatte
Funeral services for legendary coach Bob Prevatte will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, at First Baptist Church in Gaffney. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment with military honors will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Limestone University is the proud home of the Bob Prevatte Athletic Complex that was made possible through a gift from Coach Prevatte's former player and long-time friend Jerry Richardson. The Saints' baseball field is also named for Coach Prevatte.

Limestone University’s football team is knocking on the door to a second straight trip to the post-season. The Saints can wrap up an impressive regular season campaign with a victory over Emory & Henry this Saturday – which would push their overall record to 8-3 with one of the most difficult schedules in the nation.

Winning is now becoming the norm for Limestone University’s football team. By virtue of last Saturday’s thrilling 28-24 victory over rival Newberry College, the Saints guaranteed themselves back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in program history.

Limestone University will host its first home football game of the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 12 noon, against West Alabama.

Saints Lacrosse 5-14-23
The No.2-seeded Limestone University men's lacrosse team hosts No.5-seed Lenoir-Rhyne this Sunday, May 21, at 1 p.m. in the NCAA Division II National Championship Semifinals. The winner will advance into the National Title Game on Sunday, May 28, in Philadelphia. Tickets to the semifinal contest at Saints Field against the visiting Bears are now available online. Adult tickets are $5 and student tickets (12-under and college students) are $3 each.

The No. 2-seeded Limestone University men's lacrosse team will host No. 6 seed University of Indianapolis in an NCAA Division II National Championship Quarter-Final Game on Sunday, May 14, at 1 p.m., on Saints Field in Gaffney.

It was announced earlier this week that former Limestone University basketball player Charles Blue has been named as the new head coach for the boys' basketball team at Gaffney High School.

Limestone University has appointed Hailey P. Martin as its new Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, making her the first female in the institution’s history to serve in that position.

Saints Field Rendering February 2023
Fundraising efforts are currently underway to provide upgrades to Saints Field, which hosts Limestone University football, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, and field hockey. The upgrades will also provide Limestone the opportunity to move future graduation ceremonies to the stadium, as well as host other large-scale events.

Remembering Gaylord Perry
Limestone and the Cherokee County community are mourning the loss of the University’s inaugural baseball coach and friend Gaylord Jackson Perry. Founding Limestone's baseball program in 1987, Perry died on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the age of 84.

(UPDATED WITH FUNERAL ARRAGEMENTS). Limestone University is deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of one of its students, Tre’Don Andre McNeil, and extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, teammates, and coaches.

Limestone University opens its 2022 football season tonight at 7 in Boiling Springs, NC, as the Saints travel to Gardner-Webb University. Tonight's game is a "Black Out" for the Runnin' Bulldogs, and Saints fans are encouraged to show up loud and proud in blue!

Limestone Head Dance Coach and University alumna Keasha Currence has landed a second job for 2022 – named recently as a TopCat cheerleader for the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers.

Goal post installation got underway at Saints Field on Friday, July 29, as Limestone University prepares to bring home football games to campus this fall. A crew from Geo Surfaces was busy installing the goal posts in what will be the end zones of Limestone's new football field. On Saturday, July 30, football striping and numbers were painted on the field.

During a softball alumni event on Sunday, June 26, an architectural rendering of the new Limestone University softball complex was publicly revealed for the first time. As part of the alumni event on Sunday at Fleur Field in Greenville, it was announced that the new home of Limestone softball will be named Jimmy Martin Field in honor of the legendary Saints coach. Martin, who helped take Limestone softball to unprecedented heights as part of a 23-year head coaching career that made him the program's all-time winningest coach, retired from the diamond in 2013.

The Limestone University men's lacrosse team (17-2) travels to the University of Tampa (19-0) this Sunday, May 22, at 1 p.m., in the NCAA Division II semifinals. The winner will advance into the National Championship game on Sunday, May 29, at 4 p.m., in East Hartford, CT.

For the first time ever, the upcoming South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Banquet will be live-streamed online.

Acrobatics & Tumbling National Championship
The Limestone acrobatics & tumbling team claimed the first women's National Championship in the University’s history on Saturday, April 30, taking the top mark in the pyramid event, open heat while competing at the University of Oregon.
