Dr. Lindley is an avid certified Master Gardener who has worked in horticulture and landscaping and developed and maintained numerous NWF-certified Wildlife Habitats. She loves nature, conservation, hiking, traveling, reading, and her large "family" of adopted cats and horses, in addition to her two-legged family, of course! Her husband Steve is an upstate South Carolina native, an EMS helicopter pilot/regional aviation manager, and a Limestone College Online & Evening alumni himself. Her daughter, Melanie received her MS from Wake Forest and her PhD in Exercise Science and Wellness at Arizona State University,is married to a former U.S. Marine, directs a health and wellness non-profit organization in Phoenix Arizona, has provided Dr. Lindley with two adorable grandchildren, Lola and Cash, and is also an online faculty member Limestone College. The whole family love sports and are big fans of the University of Alabama, Dr. Lindley was born in Birmingham, Alabama bleeding Crimson.

Dr. Lindley and Steve enjoy traveling and exploring natural wonders such as the Florida Keys, Virgin Islands, the glaciers of Mt. Rainier, the Outer Banks of North Carolina and coastal Maryland, the deserts of the Southwest and Baja California, the tropical habitats of the Hawaiian and Virgin Islands, the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains of Wyoming, the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State, and most recently Yosemite National Park and northern California! 

Professional Accomplishments

Dr. Lindley has been a biology faculty member at Limestone College since 2001, teaching in the Day, EC Classroom, and EC Internet programs and is a tenured full professor. She has received the LC Fullerton Award for Teaching Excellence and was awarded the first SCICU Excellence in Teaching Award for Limestone College in 2006. At Limestone Dr. Lindley has received research grants with Clemson and through the SCICU for undergraduate research, serves as an invited reviewer for publications and textbooks, and presents regularly at scientific and educator's conferences.
