Tyler spent his early and middle school years growing up in Roanoke Rapids, NC. His family moved to Monroe, NC where he graduated high school. His love for the game of soccer and years of experience from playing landed him in the role of assistant coach for Piedmont High School’s JV and Varsity soccer teams. However, his real passion is for the game of baseball. His connection with sports personalities and the camaraderie he had with players opened the door for him to become a batboy for the Charlotte Knights and to later serve as the Assistant Clubhouse Manager.

Tyler went on to attend Gardner-Webb University where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism. He served as a commentator for many sports while an undergrad at Gardner-Webb along with events at VMI and W&L in Lexington, Virginia. Tyler recently received his Master of Business Administration degree also from Gardner-Webb University. While attending Gardner-Webb, Tyler worked six years at the Noel Center for Disability Resources. His personality and the knowledge gained during that time will prove to be very beneficial in what he can offer to students in and out of the classroom as well as on and off the field at Limestone University. Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Taylor, as well as family and friends, playing disc golf, attending sporting events, and collecting sports memorabilia to include autographs.
