Education

DNP - University of South Carolina

Dr. Giovannetti teaches online as adjunct Nursing Genetics and Leadership courses. She also currently works full time as Manager and Nurse Practitioner for Employee Health at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. The Employee Health department provides general employee health services, acute care, workers' compensation, and wellness program for 9,000+ employees across 6 clinics. Dr. Giovannetti has worked for SRHS for 14 years, for the first 8 years as the acute care NP and now as the manager. Dr. Giovannetti has worked as a Nurse Practitioner since 1998 in the areas of family practice, pediatrics, acute care, occupational health and employee health. She worked for Licking Family Practice in Newark Ohio for approximately 4 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner caring for all ages. Dr. Giovannetti taught Medical-Surgical nursing at Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC. From 2002-2006, she worked as NP for North Hills Medical Center primarily caring for pediatric patients. In 2006, she began working at SRHS opening the system's first acute care services for employees. In 2014, she transitioned to the position of Manager of Employee Health. 

Personally, Mary Giovannetti is married to Sean who is an executive pastor. They have 4 teenage children- a 19 year old daughter in college, 18 year old son who is a senior in High School, and twin daughters who are 16 and sophomores. She spends her non-work time serving in church choir and nursing, and watching her kids compete/perform in cheer, marching band, winter guard, indoor percussion, and orchestra. In her sparse spare time, she enjoys reading and loves the beach.
