Student of Year - Eaves

Limestone College Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) candidate Jaquisha Eaves has been recognized by the National Association of Social Workers-South Carolina (NASW-SC) as its “BSW Student of the Year.”

Eaves is a student in Limestone’s Online & Evening Program at the evening instruction campus in Columbia. She serves as the NASW-SC BSW Student Representative for the state of South Carolina.

Recipients of the “Student of the Year” award must meet the criteria of being a student in good academic standing who reflects the professional ethics of social work as defined in the NASW Code of Ethics. Personal and professional integration of education and community experience is important to earn the award, as well.

“Whenever you see Jaquisha, you can rest assured she will have a smile on her face,” said Limestone Social Work Preceptor Dr. Aubrey L. Sejuit. “She lights up a room whenever she enters it. She is a go-getter who wants to see things happen for her school, classmates, and overall community. If someone needs something, Jaquisha is the first to stand up and help. She is dependable and an overall great future social worker.”

Eaves, a mother of three, works for South Carolina Youth Advocacy Program. She is currently in internship and will graduate from Limestone in May.
