Physical Education Students Experience High-Tech Heart Rate Monitoring

Physical Education Teacher Education majors Daniel Mohsen '14 of Atlanta, GA and Jamie Chesser '13 of Baltimore, MD with the Firstbeat monitoring system.

With the use of a high-tech computer system, Limestone College Physical Education student-teachers are taking heart rate monitoring to the next level.

The Firstbeat Class Pack wireless computer system enables physical education teachers to monitor up to 40 students at any given time and can generate physiological reports of individuals or groups.

Once again, students in Limestone's Theatre Department were a dominant force in a competition against their peers from area colleges.

During the February 2nd South Carolina Speech and Theatre Association College Festival, Limestone students were presented with several top-three awards, including three first place awards.

Two Concerts Showcase Talents of Young Musicians From Throughout Region
 Wind ensemble
Dr. Doug Presley will conduct the Limestone Wind Ensemble and Honor Band this weekend.

Two performances showcasing the skills and talents of some of the most gifted young musicians in the tri-state region are scheduled for this week at Limestone College.

The College's Wind Ensemble will present their winter concert Friday evening, February 1, at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, February 2, participants of the College's Honor Band Clinic will present a concert at 2:00 p.m. Both performances are free and open to the public, and will be held in Limestone's Fullerton Auditorium.
