A Limestone College softball player has organized a $250,000 fundraising campaign to leave a lasting legacy for Jimmy Martin, the longtime Saints head softball coach.

thesummergirls webNew York Times bestselling author Mary Alice Monroe launched the book tour for her highly anticipated upcoming novel The Summer Girls at Limestone College on Wednesday, June 19.

Attendees received a free personally autographed copy of The Summer Girls six days before its June 25th release to the general public.

Trailing by two with just over two minutes to play in regulation, No. 2 Limestone (20-1, 7-0 CC) rallied to force overtime and scored on an empty net in sudden victory to earn an unbelievable 11-10 double overtime victory on Saturday, May 18 and advance to the second NCAA Division II National Championship Game in program history.
