Assessing Young Children
This course is a study of developmentally appropriate assessment practices for young children. Particular emphasis will be on assessment of children from birth to eight years of age. Both formal and informal instruments will be discussed. Considerations in choosing, administering, and reporting results of assessments will be addressed. (This course does not apply to teacher certification majors.) Prerequisites: A Grade of “C” or better in ED 200, CC 303 (same as Early Childhood Education 401). Credit, 3 hours.
