Limestone University Professor of Art Carolyn Ford will be giving two artist talks on her exhibition “Speak My Language” at Spartanburg Community College on September 15 at 2 p.m. and on September 16 at 10 a.m.

The exhibition features 22 pieces that will be on display until December 1.

Limestone University Assistant Professor of English and Interdisciplinary Studies Megan Anderson has had a chapter accepted for inclusion in an edited collection titled Geniuses, Addicts, and Scribbling Women: Depictions of Writers in Literature and Film.

The collection published by Lexington Books, an imprint of Rowan & Littlefield Publishing Group, examines how writers and their labor are culturally represented.

Limestone University Chair and Professor of English Dr. Alex Richardson recently had eight of his poems accepted for publication this fall by three literary journals.

Of the eight poems, one was selected by Big Windows Review, while Poesis Literary Magazine selected four, and the other three were tabbed by Teach. Write.

The South Atlantic Conference (SAC) announced on Friday, Aug. 7, that its Presidents Council has made the decision to postpone the start of all scheduled competition for the 2020 fall sports season until the spring 2021 semester. This decision affects seven sponsored sports that traditionally play in the fall.

A total of six new members were recently elected to the Limestone University Board of Trustees and will serve five-year terms that officially started on July 1.

The Limestone University Board of Trustees Class of 2025 includes Tony Fisher; Richard Jiran, Rahul N. Mehra, M.D.; Phil Orr; and Dr. Jonathan Waller. In addition, Tommy E. Martin was elected as a Senior member of the Board.

Limestone University’s fight against the COVID-19 pandemic needs the support of our students to be successful.

To protect the health and well-being of the campus community, it is essential that Limestone University students have a COVID-19 diagnostic test prior to the new 2020-2021 academic year that begins in August. Students must submit online the necessary testing results prior to moving into residential housing or attending classes on the Day Campus in Gaffney.

Limestone University Professor of Physical Education and Fulbright Scholar Dr. Felicia Cavallini recently had her peer review research journal manuscript published in the Journal of Physical Activity Research.

The journal publishes original research and communication papers concerning the interdisciplinary field of physical activity both as a health outcome as well as a risk factor.
