Golf Van

Thanks to the numerous donors who made it possible, Limestone University golfers were treated to a surprise on Friday, October 30, as their new Mercedes Sprinter Van was delivered to campus behind a blue-light escort.

With the men’s and women’s golf team members gathered up outside Stephenson Dining Hall prior to a meeting of the Limestone Board of Trustees, the van was revealed when head coach Zack Siefert drove up in the new vehicle that the two teams will use to travel to tournaments across the region. The escort was provided by a Limestone Campus Safety vehicle.

Honors College Logo

By virtue of an approval vote by the Board of Trustees on Friday, Oct. 30, Limestone University’s rigorous Honors Program will transition into an Honors College prior to the start of the 2021-2022 academic year.

At the recommendation of Limestone’s Provost Dr. Monica Baloga and Honors Program Director Dr. Jonathan Sarnoff, the University’s Board of Trustees Committee voted unanimously to approve the transition from an Honors Program to an Honors College.

C.R. Horton Scholarship

Verhonda Crawford, Director of Major Gifts for Limestone University’s Department of Institutional Advancement, was recently recognized on an inaugural “Forty Under 40” list in Spartanburg County.

Spartanburg Young Professionals, OneSpartanburg, Inc., and the Spartanburg Herald-Journal partnered to recognize a group of young professionals as the very first class of Spartanburg’s Forty Under 40. The group represents Spartanburg’s businesses, health care, educational institutions, nonprofits, and more.

Limestone Football Blue & White

With its traditional season postponed until the spring of 2021, the Limestone University football team will hold a Blue & White Game on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Gaffney High School’s Reservation stadium.

The fall scrimmage is scheduled to kickoff at 12 p.m.

The primary reason Limestone officials selected November 7 for the “Blue & White Game” this fall was to have the opportunity at the scrimmage to celebrate the institution’s 175th anniversary.

Happy Halloween 2020

The annual “Trick-or-Treat With The Saints” event at Limestone University has been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Held annually since 2010, the event has welcomed thousands of local children and their families to the front campus of Limestone as a safe alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. Student organizations and athletic teams traditionally hand out candy and other treats to the costumed ghosts and goblins who flock to the historic campus and the end of College Drive.

Gabe Hill Senior Recital
Monday, October 19, 2020 - 3:00pm

Limestone University senior clarinetist Gabriel Hill will present his senior recital on Tuesday, October 27, starting at 7:30 p.m. inside Fullerton Auditorium.

Admission to the recital is free of charge, and due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, all Center for Disease Control & Prevention guidelines and physical distancing protocols will be followed.

The performance by Hill is being sponsored by the Limestone University Department of Music.

2024 Field Hockey Championship Logo

The NCAA announced on Wednesday, Oct. 14, that Limestone University, in partnership with OneSpartanburg, Inc., will serve as the host site for the 2024 Division II Field Hockey National Championship.

Two national semifinal games and the national title game will be played at Saints Field in 2024.

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – The Aldrin Family Foundation (AFF) today announced its partnership with Limestone University to bring the excitement of space education to the next generation of explorers in the state of South Carolina.

This partnership establishes Limestone University as an Aldrin Space Learning Hub, a regional center for educators who use AFF’s Giant Mars Map and Giant Moon Map programs to collaborate on lesson plans and furthering STEAM curriculum.
