Physics I and II with Calculus
An introduction to mechanics, heat, and waves, first semester; and electromagnetism, light, and modern physics, second semester using calculus. This course is designed for chemistry and mathematics education majors, and open to all students who have finished at least one semester of calculus. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week. Prerequisite for the first semester: Mathematics 150 or 205, with a grade of "C: or better. Prerequisite for the second semester: Physics 301 with a grade of "C" or better, or permission of the instructor. (Offered alternate years). Credit, 4 hours.
