Following a national search, the Limestone College Athletics Department introduced Tony Ierulli, formerly the defensive ends coach at Carson-Newman University, as the program’s third head football coach.

He was formally introduced during a press conference at Limestone’s Stephenson Dining Hall & Conference Center this morning (Friday, February 16).

The public is invited to attend a news conference on Friday, February 16, as Limestone College announces its new head football coach.

The press conference will take place in the main dining room of Stephenson Dining Hall & Conference Center starting at 10 a.m.

Following an extensive national search, the Limestone College Athletics Department will be introducing the candidate who has been tabbed as program’s third head football coach.

Miss Limestone 2018

Ten contestants will compete for the title of “Miss Limestone College” during a pageant Sunday, Feb. 18, at Fullerton Auditorium.

The event, sponsored by the Limestone Activity Board, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $10 each at the door, while children 12-under will be admitted for $5 each (cash only). Limestone College students, faculty, and staff will be admitted free.

Limestone College will host a pair of Women In Technology & Sciences (WITS) Conferences on Thursday, March 15, and Friday, March 16, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.

The keynote speaker at each day’s luncheon will be Kim Jones from the United States Department of Defense, National Security Agency.

Nearly 200 sophomore and junior girls from area high schools are expected to attend the conferences. Participants will be mentored by Limestone's female faculty and students through a series of training workshops.

Whitaker

Limestone College recently named Jeremy Whitaker, CPA, as the institution’s new Controller.

Whitaker now oversees the Business Office, while also working with budgeting and student accounts.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Limestone in 2008 and completed his Master of Accounting at Gardner-Webb University in 2011. He is a 2004 graduate of Blacksburg High School.

One of higher education’s online pioneers continues to be recognized nationally as Limestone College’s numerous internet offerings have recently been named to several “Best Of” lists.

While each set of rankings used different criteria, many had common factors such as quality of faculty, course offerings, institution reputation, student involvement, and cost.

Learned Ladies

Limestone College’s Department of Theatre will present “The Learned Ladies” during a three-night run February 22-24.

Showtime will be at 7:30 each night at Limestone Center Theatre, located at 130 Leadmine Street in Gaffney.

Starting at 6:45 p.m., there will be a dramaturgical presentation before the show on February 23.

Carolyn Ford To Present Exhibition In Tennessee

A new art exhibition entitled “Storyteller: Solo Show” by Limestone College Professor of Art Carolyn Ford will be presented at the Eoff Hall Gallery on the campus of Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma, TN.


The exhibit, which will feature 56 ceramic carved tiles, will run from Feb. 12 through March 22. Ford will also present a special artist talk and lecture on Feb. 14 from 10 a.m. until noon at the gallery. The event is free and open to the public.

Limestone College Assistant Professor of History Dr. Karl Trybus will present a lecture on Monday, Feb. 5, at 7:30 p.m., entitled “Reactions of the Catholic Church to the Reformation.”

The talk will take place in Room 105 of the Carroll Hall of Fine Arts on the Limestone campus. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.
