UPDATED: Severe Weather On October 29 Moves All Classes Online

Due to the continued tropical storm high winds and rain, Limestone University will also hold its Day Campus afternoon classes virtually today (October 29).

Students are asked to please check in with their professors virtually through Blackboard.

Trees are down in the areas around Limestone University in Gaffney, so please move about campus and the surrounding area with caution the rest of today.

Limestone University offices on the Day Campus will remain closed for the remainder of the day, due to the weather conditions. Staff members are asked to work from home, if possible. Please check-in with your direct supervisor if you have any questions.


Due to the impending tropical storm that could produce high winds and heavy rains in the area, Limestone University is cancelling in-person classes on the Day Campus in Gaffney on Thursday, October 29, until 12 noon.

Classes could be held online instead. Students should check with their professors through Blackboard. Classes after 12 noon will be held in-person as scheduled.

Limestone Athletic activities are cancelled until 12 noon on Thursday.

Limestone offices are closed for staff members until 12 noon. After 12 noon, staff members are advised to report to campus as they feel comfortable with the driving conditions. Please check in with your supervisor if you cannot report to campus at 12 noon.

On Thursday morning, if weather conditions appear to still be severe after 12 noon, additional notifications will be sent out to the campus community.
