"One Limestone" Marketing & Enrollment Campaign Underway

Limestone College’s Department of Communications & Marketing was recently restructured and expanded just in time to launch a new marketing and enrollment strategy.

To further enhance its strength as an institution offering a wide variety of learning options, Limestone has unveiled its “One Limestone” campaign to attract prospective students seeking a degree through a traditional Day Campus, or through an Online or Evening Program. The College also offers a Master’s in Business Administration degree, and more graduate programs are coming soon.

Marena Camby recently joined the Communications & Marketing team as a writer and graphic designer. In addition, two staff members working with Limestone’s website have made the transition from Information Technology to the Communications & Marketing office. Kevin Cobb will continue his role as the Website Administrator/Developer, while Katye Price now serves as the Assistant Website Administrator along with new responsibilities as the Digital Marketing Analytics Assistant.

Camby, who graduated from Clemson University last year, interned at House of Madness Publishing in Clemson where she collaborated with a team of writers and provided creative content.

“We are excited about having Marena coming in to fill a vacancy we had in our department,” said Charles Wyatt, who serves as Limestone’s Vice President for Communications & Marketing and Director of Communications. “She will be an asset to help us cover all the great things happening on our campus, while also generating graphics to assist our enrollment marketing and social media efforts. Kevin and Katye have long been valuable members of the Limestone staff, and we are all thrilled to now have the website management under the umbrella of our department. We’re working to make our website a greater tool for our recruitment efforts, and behind the scenes we are also in the midst of a complete redesign. We look forward to working alongside our incredible Admissions staff, and the entire campus, to showcase all that Limestone has to offer.”

Limestone recently partnered with Clark Communications, based in Asheville, to strengthen its digital marketing efforts. K.C. Barnhill, the Associate Vice President for Communications & Marketing and Director of Creative Services, is overseeing the College’s content and branding efforts.

“When it comes to adopting new technologies and making changes to best serve its students, Limestone has long been at the forefront,” Barnhill explained. “The College started offering evening classes across the region in 1976 and followed that by being an online learning pioneer in 1996. Our mission with the ‘One Limestone’ campaign is to spread the word about our unique ability to provide access to higher education regardless of what path best works for the student.”

Day, online, and evening learning options have long been mainstays at Limestone and following a recent all-inclusive strategic review of marketing and enrollment efforts, officials opted to highlight the fact that the College offers several routes to earn a degree, and that each path is a part of “One Limestone.”

“Our goal is to provide an opportunity for students to achieve their goals with ideal flexibility and convenience, allowing faculty and staff to concentrate on students’ success,” said Limestone President Dr. Darrell Parker. “We are transforming our institution to provide pathways that will help guide our students and provide support programs that will help them thrive.

“Whether you’re a student who stays on our day campus or a working adult learning online or at one of our six evening program sites, you’re a part of the Limestone family,” he added. “No matter the goal – an associate’s, a bachelor’s, or a master’s – Limestone is going to help you achieve it.”
