"Noises Off" Returning To Limestone Theatre

Following a four-show summer production in May, “Noises Off” returns to the Limestone College Theatre on Thursday, Sept. 1, and Friday, Sept. 2. Show-time each day is at 7:30 p.m.

The play, written by English playwright Michael Frayn, will again be directed by Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson, Limestone’s Director of Theatre and Musical Theatre

Advance tickets are available at www.showtix4u.com. All tickets are $5 each. Limestone students, faculty and staff are admitted free. Tickets will be available at the door starting one hour before each performance.

The production includes a cast of nine, all from Gaffney, including five current Limestone Theatre majors and four Limestone Theatre alums. The cast members are Matt Smith (Lloyd Dallas), Sarah Kier (Dotty Otley), Chuck Carr (Garry Lejeune), Jade Alford (Brooke Ashton), Zach White (Freddy Fellowes), Kinsey Gregg (Belinda Blair), Jada Bell (Poppy Norton-Taylor), James Holmes (Selsdon Mowbray), and Hayden Peterson (Timothy Allgood).

Called the funniest farce ever written, “Noises Off” presents a manic menagerie as a cast of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called “Nothing's On.” Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant herring all figure in the plot of this classically comic play. “Noises Off” was nominated for a Best Play Tony Award in 1984.

Limestone College Theatre is located at 130 Leadmine Street in Gaffney.
