Limestone's Online Criminal Justice Program Receives High National Rankings

Limestone College’s Criminal Justice online bachelor’s degree program recently received high rankings by three different nationally-recognized websites.

Limestone is ranked No. 6 by CriminalJusticeDegree.net. Washington State University is ranked No. 1, followed, respectively, by Arizona State University, Sam Houston State University, Pennsylvania University-World Campus, University of Central Florida, Limestone College, University of Louisville, University of Oklahoma-Norman Campus, Northwestern State University of Louisiana, and the University of Toledo. A total of 107 Criminal Justice programs were evaluated in the rankings.

At SuperScholar.org, Limestone’s Criminal Justice Program is ranked No. 13 on the website’s list of Top 50 institutions.

On its list of the Top 50, the website NonprofitCollegesOnline.com ranks Limestone’s Criminal Justice program as the 17th best in the United States.

Limestone’s Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice degree program gives students the opportunity to study issues of crime and justice and prepares them to enter the field at entry and middle management levels. It is an interdisciplinary study of law enforcement, judicial courts, and correctional systems within political structures, with attention given to legal, social, managerial, and administrative issues.

Students in Limestone’s program learn both practical and theoretical applications to components of the criminal justice system, emphasizing the decision-making process and consequences inherent with legal and social influences.

There are numerous criminal justice careers available, including corrections officer, detective, FBI agent, security guard, parole officer, police officer, park ranger, security officer and manager, private investigator, fraud investigator, insurance investigator, and more.
