Limestone's Online Computer Science Program Recognized

Limestone College was recently recognized by ComputerScienceOnline.org, a leading education and industry resource for computer science information, for having one of the best online computer science programs in the nation.

In recent years, informational technology has become the third most popular degree program for online students.

Limestone College was evaluated on a number of criteria and metrics including online tuition cost, student-faculty ratio, six-year graduation rate, percentage of students receiving financial aid, academic and career counseling services, number of online computer science-related bachelor’s programs, and Accreditation by the Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

ABET accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering.

Computer Science Online then distinguished their ranking scale by the use of Peer-Based Value, or PBV. The PBV score compares the cost of each program to the cost of similar programs with the same qualitative score.

“We wanted to highlight the institutions across the country that are leading in academic excellence for online Computer Science programs,” said Dan Schuessler, the CEO and founder of Computer Science Online. “With over three quarters of new STEM jobs being comprised of computer science disciplines, these schools are making a substantial contribution to the workforce.”
