Limestone makes "Military Friendly School" list for 6th straight year.

The 2015 nation-wide list of “Military Friendly Schools” has been released, and Limestone College was once again one of those included in the latest edition. The listing, announced by www.MilitaryFriendlySchools.com, showcases the top 20 percent of colleges, universities, and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members, veterans, and spouses as students and ensure their success on campus. Limestone, which has been named for six straight years, was one of 23 schools to make the list from South Carolina. Including its main campus, Online & Evening Program, and on-line enrollment, Limestone College currently has 380 students who are either veterans or are actively serving in the military. About Limestone, the report stated: “Limestone College is an accredited, independent, coeducational four-year liberal arts institution chartered by the State of South Carolina. Its programs lead to the AA, AS, BA, BS, BSW, and the MBA. Its mission is to educate students from diverse backgrounds at its home campus in Gaffney as well as at eight sites around the State of South Carolina and online.  It is committed to educating students who may not otherwise have an opportunity for higher education.” Limestone currently has a record total of 1,185 day students, which is a 10 percent increase over a year ago. Including its Online & Evening and internet students, Limestone boasts of an overall enrollment of 3,500, making it the largest of the 20 regionally accredited private colleges in South Carolina.
