Day of Remembrance Ceremony

Limestone College will observe a Day of Remembrance on Thursday, Nov. 12, with a special ceremony taking place at Camp-Swofford Chapel at 12 noon.

Reverend Ron Singleton will preside over the ceremony.

Limestone students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend, as are all friends of the College.

Many at the College are mourning the loss of a student, Delvin Tyrell Simmons, who was killed during an incident on Monday, Nov. 9, at Spartanburg Methodist College.

Simmons, from Ridgeway, SC, was currently enrolled at Limestone as an Early Childhood Education major. In his second year at the College, Mr. Simmons was involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Call Me MISTER program.

Reverend Singleton said that Camp-Swofford Chapel remains open for any Limestone students, faculty, or staff members who would like to visit as they mourn the loss of Simmons.
