Men's Lacrosse

The Limestone College men's lacrosse team defeated Tampa 13-10 in the NCAA Division II semi-finals on Sunday, May 22, at Saints Field.

Limestone will take on Le Moyne on Sunday, May 29, at 4 p.m. in Philadelphia for the national championship. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles of the National Football League.

The Saints, who have won two straight national titles, knocked off Le Moyne in the championship game last year. Le Moyne advanced to this year's title contest with an 8-4 victory over Merrimack.

Village School

As part of a partnership agreement to enhance music education for young people in Cherokee County, the Limestone College Music Department recently conducted an “INFORMance” showcase for students from the Village School of Gaffney.

The performance at Limestone’s Downtown Campus on North Granard Street featured the College’s Advanced iPan (steel drums) ensemble and Beginner iPan ensemble, the Village School’s fourth- and fifth-grade tone chime ensemble, and its sixth- through eighth-grade steel pan ensemble.

Wednesday, May 18, 2016 - 2:30pm

The Community Music School at Limestone College will host its Spring Recital on Tuesday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in the Carroll Recital Hall. Admission is free.

Piano students of instructor Pam Turnage will be performing at the recital, along with guest performer Grace Wylie, who is a Community Music School alum and current Limestone College student.

Handels Messiah Limestone Community Chorus

Limestone defeated Mount Olive 15-6 in the quarter-final game on Saturday, May 14. On the same day, Tampa slipped past Mercyhurst 10-9 in overtime.

Limestone College’s marching band now has a hall of fame member on its staff.

Bobby Jones with the Marching Saints was recently inducted into the World Drum Corps Hall of Fame.

The Limestone band contracts with Jones as a drill writer, along with being a consultant and advisor for show development.

The Marching Saints perform at Limestone football games and also for thousands of high school band students from across South Carolina.

Noises Off

Limestone College Theatre will present “Noises Off” during a four-show run May 26-29.

The play, written by English playwright Michael Frayn, will be directed by Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson, Limestone’s Director of Theatre and Musical Theatre

Show time is at 7:30 p.m. on May 26-28 at Limestone College Theatre, which is located at 130 Leadmine Street in Gaffney. There will also be a 3 p.m. show on May 29.
