The Communications & Marketing Department is responsible for getting the right messages about Limestone College to the right audiences at the right time. The department is responsible for overall communications, public relations, messaging, marketing, and branding activity for the College.
The Communications & Marketing Department creates and implements strategic, multi-faceted communications and marketing programs designed to build and strengthen the College's role and reputation as a leader in higher education. It devises program guidelines and policies, oversees implementation process, and provides quality control for communications programs, marketing, media activities, and special publications.
The department enhances and protects Limestone’s institutional reputation, advances and strengthens the College’s brand, encourages alumni and community engagement, and reinforces the College’s relevance in the lives of key target audiences, including current and prospective students, alumni, donors, friends, and faculty and staff.
We help manage communications on campus to be sure students, faculty, and staff are informed about important events and issues in a timely manner. We also help connect Limestone to the world, reaching out to the news media, prospective students, parents, alumni, donors, key volunteers, friends of the College, and the Limestone and Cherokee County communities.
The Communications & Marketing Department tells the College’s story across multiple channels to its many audiences. With broad expertise in media relations, multimedia, design, marketing, and social platforms, the Communications & Marketing Department supports the College’s goals and provides strategic direction for its communications and marketing.
In the absence of President, or as directed by the President, the Vice President for Communications & Marketing serves as the official spokesperson of the College.
