Our Traditions

  • Turkey Bowl 2020 Delivery

    The Limestone University Student Social Work Organization’s annual community service project known as the “Turkey Bowl” brought in more donations that anticipated during the recent Thanksgiving holiday season.

    Food and monetary donations were brought in by the generous Limestone community and family.

    After an absence last year, the Student Social Work Organization brought back the Turkey Bowl and exceeded its goal of 25 meals as it was able to serve 44 families in Cherokee County. The leftover goods were taken to PeachCenter Ministries to be distributed in the community.

  • SaintsGiving 2020

    Limestone University is responding to meet the needs of its students and campus community by partnering with GivingTuesday to increase the annual percentage of its alumni giving. 

    In celebration of Limestone’s 175th birthday, the University endeavors to inspire 175 alumni to contribute to Limestone’s endowment during its one-day “SaintsGiving” fundraising campaign planned for Tuesday, Dec. 1.

  • Turkey Bowl 2020

    After an absence last year, the Limestone University Student Social Work Organization has brought back its popular Thanksgiving community service project known as The Turkey Bowl.

    The food drive will provide local families with an entire Thanksgiving Day meal. The families are being identified and selected by counselors with the Cherokee County School District.

    Limestone’s Social Work Students pack boxes with all the items needed for a Thanksgiving feast. The University’s students will pack the boxes and deliver to families on Monday, Nov. 23.

  • Beehive Poster

    Originally scheduled to live-stream later this month, Limestone University’s production of “Beehive: The 60s Musical” is being rescheduled for the spring semester.

    “Beehive” was created by Larry Gallagher and will be directed by Baxter-Ferguson, with music direction by Professor of Music Dr. David Thompson. It was initially planned to air November 15-18 but has been pushed back due to scheduling conflicts. The new dates will be announced in the near future.
