Studies in Contemporary Drama

This course will familiarize the student with the most recent and most admirable writing occurring in the contemporary theatre. Theatre is an immediate art form, and the student must not only understand its heritage and history, but also be familiar with the works of the most contemporary theatre artists. Students will learn to put these works into a critical and historical context as well as forecast where theatre might be headed and why. This course does not meet the General Education literature requirement. Prerequisite: English 102 or 103H. Credit, 3 hours.
